By the way, most newer engines from all manufacturers do the clicking thing due to the different materials they use.
The 2.0L and 2.4L engines have a plastic intake manifold and valve cover. The block is high-pressure die-cast aluminum with dry iron liners, cast-aluminum cylinder heads, cast-aluminum ladder frame, forged steel crankshaft.
