Re: 2012 Patriot water leak problem
My wife has an 06 Grand Cherokee that leaked the same way yesterday. It turned out to be a plugged drain.
Here's a test you can try. Open the sunroof and carefully fill the recessed drip track around the edge. Watch the flow as it empties. You may find one of the drain holes is plugged or slow. If your car is on an incline, that hole may be the only one that can remove the water and being plugged, causes an overflow into the cabin.
I used a bicycle pump with an adapter that fits an air mattress style orifice (the kind you normally blow up with your mouth) to pressurize the drain line and blow out the obstruction. I pumped it about 4 times, heard a pop under the car where the drain line exits....problem solved.

His family has started a fund on giveforward.com. If you have ever been helped by someone else, now is a good time to pay it forward. Here is a link to that page. God bless you! http://gfwd.at/1rz33PW
