AC smell

When I turn on the AC in my Patriot, there is a bad, mildew like smell from the vent. It goes away after a while ( or I get used to it). It is more likely happen at the start of the AC season or when it has been damp out. Anyone else have this problem and do you have a solution?

Cool Re: AC smell

There is a product made by BG called Frigi- Fresh just spray it in your cowl vents and the smell goes away.

For mild cases, Frigi-Fresh is what many dealers use.
There is a full foam treatment/cleaner that requires drains, etc. for severe cases.

Best place to spray is if you can get it down into the A/C unit itself... by going down the shortest input or output path.

Stuff is cheap, easy to use.
