FYI 2 weeks and 200 miles later 2012 limited needed a full wheel alignment. front and rear wheel caster, camber, toe in and toe out adjustment. during the 2 weeks of driving i noticed the car was pulling to the left big time.

took the car to a performance shop utilizing a hunter digital alignment system and watched every step to make sure nobody bs'd me. (i was in the business 30 years ago and i know what goes on) as soon as the machine started to analyze i saw the condition's.

it might be a good idea for all to have the alignment checked either by the dealer or independently, $100 bucks seems worth the trouble if you have to pay for it yourself. the dealers don"t seam to be interested in the proper prep of a new car

car rides 100% better without any drag or pulling. probably saved tires from premature wear.

The alignment was out on my '11 as well, didn't notice until steering wheel went crooked and my tires started feathering on the outside edges. I now have a 2800 mile Jeep with worn tires, unacceptable.

it"s not a question of the money it"s making sure it"s done and done the right way, seeing it being done is a lot better than being told it was done. most dealer service shops think customers are stupid and will believe anything.

next time you are at the dealer service center listen to the service writers talking to customers, selling a line of bs at ridiculous prices.

had the same problem. Dealership was a joke. They said they fixed it. Had to do it myself in the garage.

Rear toe was out exactly the same amount on each side causing rear steer.
spoke with owner today to inform him his service shop is not prepping the cars properly . Offered to rake care of my service at the his shop. Ps the dealer just got a new hunter digital alignment machine.

Chrysler needs to step up to improve its build quality at the factory. Alighnment off shouldn't be this much common.

One day I couldn't close my front driver side door and found out the hinge was really loose. Service center told me they never saw loose hinge for such a new car off the factory.

Having the same issue -Jeep is pulling to the right. Dealer confirmed it is pulling to the right and is going to rotate tires and do alignment. With only 3000 miles on the Jeep it seems too early to me for a tire rotation but we will see how it comes out tomorrow.

jswart, I haven't had the chance to perform an alignment on a RHD WK2 as of yet. Does your Jeep have quadralift and/or adaptive cruise? I'll email you the specs when I get back to work tomorrow.

I've had my jeep for just over a week and around 500 miles. At speeds over 70mph it pulls fairly hard to the left. Under that speed it still pulls just not as much and steering wheel is not straight. Unacceptable for a new car, but if the dealer fixes under warranty this will be their one and only mulligan :)

I have had my Jeep Compass since August 2012, its been to the dealer 3 times already. They even replace on of the tires. This time it has been at the dealer's for two weeks as of tomorrow and now I am being told by Chrysler that this is normal for my Jeep and for me to come and pick it up. I guess my next step is hire a lawyer. i don't know what to do. I love my Jeep compass but this is not normal. Any suggestions?

This is a jeep grand Cherokee forum... Not a compass forum. You should post this in the correct area for best results.

Not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, but are the wheel alignment specs different for cars fitted with Quadra-Lift opposed to steel sprung?
I just got my wheel alignment done at a local tyre shop and didn't think anything of it until now..
