Although a Jeep PickUp is something that I'd be very interested in (especially an SRT8 version :D ) I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on it to become a reality. Rumors and concept vehicles have been floating around since just about the last Commanche rolled of the assembly line. I had really high hopes that DomeStore Chrysler would put one out b:ut it never happened. Not sure the new ownership is really interested in expanding beyond the current Wrangler, Liberty and Grand Cherokee lineup. :(

What would you guys think if someone took a Ram chassis and made a one-off concept? Between my Uncle's mechanic shop, my fabricator friends, and my cousin's Junkyard, this is a definite possibility once I return.

It doesn't look like there is a lot of current info here. From what I've been seeing on most auto websites, and from what I've heard from dealer insiders that were at the dealer convention it's almost a certainty that there is a pick up coming, and it will be based on the Wrangler Unlimited chassis. Just what I've heard from the owner of a local dealership that was at the Chrysler dealers meetings.

The pickup idea is pretty sweet, unfortunately, with the premise of building it on a shared platform I dont see any decent engines being offered. I still wouldnt mind having one though. As for the Wagoneer reboot, didnt the Commander unsuccessfully attempt the 7 passenger thing and fail lol.

Looks like the pickup will have four doors (as indicated by the hinges), but the back is so small it would only have room for jump seats (Ranger style).
Being that Ford, Dodge, and Chevy will soon be discontinuing their smaller pickups, maybe there will be room in the marketplace for this entry.
