Overvolatge oxygen sensor 2

Hello, i'm a new member. Thanks for created this web site.

I got a gasoline Jeep compass 2007, and i'm quite happy.
But since fews months a got a defaut, which say "overvoltage oxygen sensor 2".
So it's about the diagnosis oxygen sensor.
I changed it but nothing happen.
So i check with ELM OBD2 and i can see that voltage of this sensor doesn't oscillate but keep at 1.25V

Is someone already got something similar, someone can help me?

In advance thanks.

Bye

Welcome to the garage. Could you tell me which fault code(s) you have?

Re: Overvolatge oxygen sensor 2

The P0058 for the heater control circuit is normally a problem in the wiring. An open wire or bad ground could cause this message.
The P0158 seems to be caused by a short from a power supply to the O2 sensor wire. I would inspect the wires going from the O2 sensor to the PCM for shaving or melted wires (from contact with hot exhaust parts). Don't know if there is any other connector in the wire from the O2 sensor connector to the PCM. If there is, i would disconnect it and clean with contact cleaner. Also the PCM connectors should be checked for moisture or eventual corrosion.
