2016 Compass limited with 130S/RES head unit.
After some searching, I found the USB port in the glove box. My son plugged his iPod to it, and the stereo linked to it nicely. However, since it's not my son's Jeep, and I refuse to own an Apple product, it would be nothing more than a charging port. Knowing that you can daisy-chain USB ports out to 128, I decided to modify the configuration a touch by adding a 4 bay hub to the USB port. In addition to the hub, I also added a couple of retractable USB cords so that there are no wires to get tangled when not in use.
Here are a few pictures of what I did. Bear in mind that the plastic does not lend itself well to adhesives, so I had to rivet a small piece of aluminum on the back of the glove box, then add the 3M double sided moulding tape.

The glove box closes on the USB cords easily and without effort, and the box closes perfectly when the cords are in the retracted position. I use this to charge my cell phone, the wife's phone, her tablet, or anything else that needs juice while driving.
