Re: 1.5 din to 2 din dash ?

About time someone came out with the kit! Freaking awesome and good price too.

Can see me upgrading in the future. My RB-3 nav went bad and it sucks compared to the RB1 anyway so that benzel + a good Double DIN = WIN!

Re: 1.5 din to 2 din dash ?

Yes. there was some sub-dash cutting that was needed to be done. It's a matter of removing a lot of plastics to make the double din fit. All in all it looks incredible and Nearly stock. I've got my iphone cable run under the transmission shifter and put into the armrest compartment.

Additionally I have a backup camera, and a 12 inch sub that has all hidden wires.

Dave from A.S.S. what great when he installed it. I can take mre pics if ppl want it.

Please give us more pics. I'm on the verge of ordering a 2 din nav and pics will definitely give me that push

Here's a shot up close, but i was driving.

It really does look amazing and the tone of the burlwood trim is pretty darn close to oem

Re: 1.5 din to 2 din dash ?

How hard is it to wire 2 din head unit to the factory wire harness? How hard is it to modify the mounts? I love the look of them and I need a new head unit. I really want to put something that looks like it belongs in the dash!!!

Any help with accomplishing the install will be greatly appreciated!

Re: 1.5 din to 2 din dash ?

How close to the factory wood trim does the mod look? I am really considering this mod but I don't want to have two different wood trims in my jeep. Is it noticeable?
