2003 overland radio/gps steering wheel wiring problem

Hi everyone.
I have just bought a new car dvd/gps unit for my 2003 grand cherokee overland, it has three wires to connect to steering wheel radio controls.
Does anyone know what colour the wires for the radio controlls are in the radio harness loom/plug.
I have looked at a wiring diagram on wj jeeps.com but don't understand it and can't follow it, any help apreciated.
cheers,
afpe45

Should be a power, ground, and Bus wire. What Steering wheel adapter are you using, and what stereo is it connected to?

I am guessing it's the Bus wire you need. I got mine from just under the cover of the steering column. You should be able to get it at the radio harness too.

It's VIOLET/YELLOW/BLUE

AS far as I can tell that unit is not setup to use the WJ's system. The WJ uses a clock spring and BUS data system. I could be wrong, but that system seems to just want 2 input signals instead of the data system the WJ uses.

Here is the adapter that I use http://www.sonicelectronix.com/viewitem_c.php?id=22808

I am not positive it will work with that stereo, but It looks like it should.
