Easy Hands Free Cellphone on '02 Overland
Hey, I decided to take a chance and it paid off. I went for one of those cassette player adapters for an aux input. I spent an extra $5 ($20 instead of $15) on one that can be used as a handsfree unit on a cellphone. Basically, you plug it into your phone, in my case blackberry, and it plays the sound over the speaker system in the car through the cassette player on the head unit. It has a little microphone in the cable. I tested it with my wife and the mic works really well. Bottom line, I have handsfree - awesome since they give tickets here for driving without handsfree.
Also, you can use the same cassette player adapter to connect any ipod or MP3 player. So now i can play my ipod through the factory setup. I thought that it would sound mediocre. But it sounds great.
Best $20 I ever spent.
