Re: Speakers

I ended up going with the Alpine IDA-X303 for my head unit. I payed about $170 for it. If your looking at getting a head unit for any vehicle i recommend Alpine. Its easy to use, and the look is amazing. I also bought the universal kit to hook up the steering wheel controls for around $70. (HIGHLY RECOMMEND) that was extremely easy to hook up on my own.

these are the pics of how it looks

with the Deck out. I like how its plain and doesn't show that its an Alpine.

Re: Speakers

The Alpine IDA-X303 looks nice. I almost went that route but I was worried about having tunes other than radio if my ipod dumped so I went with a head unit that also plays cds. The unit can also play mp-3s on the cd so you can have quite a few tunes even at 320 kbps. Here's my head unit:

Here's two of the Sub:

When I'm worried about theft I just pull the face off my head unit.

Re: Speakers

Polks are an awesome choice for speakers. I have them in mine and couldnt be happier. Paired with a nice set of tweeters and it sounds amazing.

Re: Speakers

I just bought 2 sets of Kenwood performance series 6x9's and 6 1/2's For the price I am very happy. I could not afford a 300+ dollar system, let alone in cash so I used my Bestbuy credit card. The reviews were very good and the sound quality was a TREMENDOUS upgrade from my stock paper speakers. They are on sale in store and I am VERY happy with them. I am a JL Audio man at heart but with 4 children I have to break my heart here and there :-)
