Besides those items you mentioned, plus the wheels and tires, the car was stock.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

2012 SRT Charger
1. You've been asked a thousand times about this, but can you tell me an update as to the PCM being unlocked for tuning? Can you elaborate at all?

2. Yesterday, I found out that some of the later builds came with 3 mode ADS, while the early builds came with only 2 mode ADS. I have an early build and can tell in "Sport" mode that it's shifts at a higher RPM along with the stiffer suspension. Is there something more that's done to the transmission programming with 3 mode cars when you're in "Track" mode that I don't have? Basically, is "Sport" mode in early builds the same as "Track" modes in recent builds?
3. My ADCM has been on backorder forever, it wont take an update flash, my electronics and radio wig out, and ontop of that my backup cam freaks out and doesnt work and all I see is a black screen. My vehicle also had its driverside headlight and suspension harness repaired (not replaced) by the dealer because it was not properly secured and had landed on the exhaust manifold and melted 12 wires straight. This vehicle has been giving me problems ever since the day I purchased. Can you guys please take some responsibility and help me out.

The bolt Spacing for the caliper mount is NOT the same. While the 2012 brake package will fit inside the 2006-2010 model year wheel (just barely, think 1/8"), you would need heavy knuckle modifications to fit them to the knuckle.

Will there ever be an SRT Truck? I love my GCSRT8 but I need a truck that will haul azz as well. I can only dream of a 1/2 ton truck with a 392 in it!!

The exhaust tuning is optimized to strike a good balance between strong V8 and MDS - for the drone to be eliminated, the car would need to be ultra quiet at times when there should be great V8 tone.

But its just a shame that such a great vehicle was developed, when for many years now other automakers have had LED headlamps and tail lamps already designed into their vehicles and the Jeep is still a bit behind the times when it was released. And worse off from what it sounds the JGC will have most of this early in 2013 as a 2014 model if what I read is correct. SRT group could have pushed off production 1 more year and had all the new technology in the vehicle including new head units instead of 3800 dissappointed owners that are out there by this announcement myself included, but maybe I'm the only one seeing this. Plus after the whole pricing deal at the begining, missed that price protection by 3 days.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

This is awesome having you guys here to answer our questions. thanks for taking the time to do this. I dont know of any other companies that would do this. And i think the huge question that EVERYONE wants to know... when will tuning be available for this beast!? i know owners really wanna open it up at the track and see what it can truly do vs the WK1. Why not work a deal with DiabloSport?

One more ? Though. After some comments from folks taking it to the track and just getting back from the SRT experience at VIR myself. Why no slotted/drilled rotors for the Jeep. It seems like it would benefit a bit.

Sent from my iPad 4g using Tapatalk HD
Slotted and/or cross drilling will decrease pad life. We only do this when the system warrants it example: to "clean" the pads to reduce grooving.

Thanks again guys for the amazing car!

1)Stay "tuned", more details coming soon.
2)In the new 3 mode "Sport" changes only the suspension characteristics while the "Track" mode works like the present Sport and modifies the Suspension and shifting.
2a)We are working with Mopar to develop a package for those interested in adding the feature.

We are always looking at the SRT portfolio but as you know we can't talk about future plans or product

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Love the work you guys do, so first and foremost....Thank you got doing this tonight.
My question is is related to service. Its a bit confusing on whether a 6000 interval or a 3000mile interval should be used when changing oil. I've used Blackstone labs to analyze the oil after 3000 miles and it had over 60% life left.
Also, as I sit in my dealers service department for a bad steering rack on my 2010 GCSrt8,for the second replacement, what is going on with the new priority service program with SRT vehicles?

If you have time to play with the radio, then you're not driving hard enough! We have 3799 other customers who pay more attention to the exhaust note than the radio.
