They are NOT Viper replicas, they are unique to the One Lap car.

2012 Charger SRT8

Can you tell me if the plugs are 30k mile or 100k mile plugs? The manual has the V6 and 5.7 but no mention of the 6.4.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Now about my 2012 SRT Charger.
3. My ADCM has been on backorder forever, it wont take an update flash, my electronics and radio wig out, and ontop of that my backup cam freaks out and doesnt work and all I see is a black screen. My vehicle also had its driverside headlight and suspension harness repaired (not replaced) by the dealer because it was not properly secured and had landed on the exhaust manifold and melted 12 wires straight. This vehicle has been giving me problems ever since the day I purchased. Can you guys please take some responsibility and help me out.

What's the best way to break in a new SRT8? How should it be driven? When should the first oil change take place.

I know what the manual and visor card say about the first 500 miles.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

what happened to the voice commands to change the song names in the 2012 SRT8 Jeep? I had the 2011 Jeep summit and that had it, I looked in the manual and release notes and this 2012 SRT8 was supposed to have the Voice recognition to be able to select tracks, search songs etc.. manual even says that you can do it with a device that can sync a TOC to the radio. What am I missing? Was this feature removed for the SRT8?

Also was the feature to roll the front windows down by pressing the unlock button 3 times fast removed?

Which should have been louder.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

On my 2012 300 SRT8 (built 08/05/2011), I recently updated my PCM flash from 68041668AC to 68041668AD. Prior to this, I was intermittently getting a P0471 code for having a Corsa exhaust on the vehicle and the lack of back pressure. Now, with the new flash, I do not receive the code. Additionally, I've gone as far as unplugging the rubber hose attached to the back pressure sensor to see if the car will set the code and it will not.

Has the back pressure sensor been disabled in this new PCM flash to allow the use of aftermarket exhausts?

My question is is related to service. Its a bit confusing on whether a 6000 interval or a 3000mile interval should be used when changing oil. I've used Blackstone labs to analyze the oil after 3000 miles and it had over 60% life left.
Also, as I sit in my dealers service department for a bad steering rack on my 2010 GCSrt8,for the second replacement, what is going on with the new priority service program with SRT vehicles?
A 6000 mile service interval is acceptable assuming you're not doing any hard track work or heavy hauling. Just make sure to monitor your oil level.

Among the 12 engineers in the room, no one has heard of a priority service program for SRT vehicles. Sorry on that one.

The plugs are precious metal and as such have 100K mile replacement. Confused about the manual because I reviewed the data earlier this year and corrected the intervals for all - (5.7L currently is std nickle copper plugs and are changed on relatively short intervals - they are changing this soon)

See the above mentioned answer about MDS. If the car would've been louder, it would've droned like crazy in MDS. We truly did give you the best balance between the two that we could find.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

If SRT is it's own group/brand, then why do all the SRTs besides the new SRT Viper have other badging on them? Example, my WK2 SRT8 with Jeep and Grand Cherokee all over it. That rear Jeep embossed chrome strip took some time to get shaved and filled to debadge the Jeep completely and represent the SRT brand.

Re: May 16, 2012 SRT Engineers chat session

Regarding Customer Satisfaction Notice M04:

"The User Guide on about 110 of the above vehicles incorrectly stated the use of SAE 5W-40 engine oil instead of the correct oil which is SAE 0W-40 full synthetic engine oil."

What are the disadvantages, if any, of using 5W-40? Is the MDS system affected?
