Re: 02 JGC Limited Erratic Shifting Tranny

According the manual there are 2 tests performed by the ABS controller. One will be performed at ignition in run, the static test and the second part, the dynamic test, at around 20 km/h. So indeed it could be that you have to drive around a bit to get rid of the light.

Re: 02 JGC Limited Erratic Shifting Tranny

Ok update:

The codes were cleared by me. I took the neg batt terminal off while I was replacing the wheel speed sensor, which by the way was a pain getting under the under the rear seats. I connected the tps sensor and the wheel and also put 1qt ATF+4 cause it was low still needs about another qt and 1/2. The abs light was on but the cluster said done and no codes popped up. The abs light went off after1 mile of driving. But so far so good, best 800 I ever spent lmao..... Thanks for the hep guys. I'm still haven't done the trans speed sensors but I will do them later down the road if the teams doesnt actup

Re: 02 JGC Limited Erratic Shifting Tranny

Not that it does matter that much, but the fault codes shown on the cluster are only the faults stored in the PCM. Faults from the ABS controller can only be retreived/cleared using a DRBIII scanner.

Re: 02 JGC Limited Erratic Shifting Tranny

After I installed the wss the abs light went off after driving one mile. So far so good.

I have another issue, I will post another thread about. The truck has smoke coming in the cabin.... Like oil smoke but I checked under the hood and when I rev it some smoke comes from the back of the motor but I can tell from where....
