Re: 180 degree thermostat

I have a 2004 grand Cherokee limited 4.7HO
With a few minor mods. K&n cold air, flowmaster super 44 exhaust. Bosch platinum plugs and run 91+ fuel. So I wanted to take it further. Allegedly I put a stage 2 jet chip in it. It calls for free flow exhaust 91+ octane and 180 degree thermostat...... I still have my 195 in due to the cold weather in Iowa right now.. With everyone getting defensive about knowledge on thermostats who knows about chips? Its running fine. But I'm about to replace my radiator with a spectra and my stat is in the bottom of the block... How mandatory would it be does someone think for the thermostat to be changed for OEM regulations to the requirement of a pcm chip?? Thank you
