2001 hydraulic cooling fan issue

I'm having an issue with the cooling fan on my newly acquired 2001 Laredo 4.7. The cooling fan is not increasing speed when I turn on the AC. Reading elsewhere on the innerwebs, it said the test for the fan solenoid was to pull the connector on the coolant temp sender. I did that and the fan went into full speed after a few second delay. I plugged it back in and fan went back to its idle speed. It appears somewhere there is no signal that the AC is on, so the PCM is not sending the signal to increase the fan speed. My AC compressor is cycling - high side pressures are getting very high due to no airflow over the condenser. But still, could it be one of the AC pressure switches?

Re: 2001 hydraulic cooling fan issue

Does the AC give cold air? Overhere i hardly hear the fan speed up when AC is on and the system works fine.
