2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee ideas

Hey guys I got my cousins used 2002 V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee last year and have thoroughly enjoyed it. Great shape with only 72,000 miles. Anyways, I have been saving up some money lately and was wondering if y'all have any ideas or recommendations as to what I can do to my Jeep to make it look recognizable and authentic. What headlights have good performance? Even though if my Jeep is 2WD, if I did the right things, could I still have some off-road fun? If y'all have any ideas or comments, please do so! I appreciate it!

Re: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee ideas

Hey bro!! Welcome to the forum!

I would put some Gen III Projector headlights with HIDs as a start! Possibly some tinted tail lights.

If you want offroad capability, throw a lift on it. Or some meaty tires!!!

Post up some photos if you get a chance!

Re: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee ideas

You can still have some offroad fun w/ RWD. You first requirement is going to be front and rear recovery points (if you don't have them). This can be front and rear tow hooks or front hooks and rear receiver. Chances are you're going to get stuck (if you don't, you're taking things too easy) and you want a solid place to hook up straps. Then you'll want to get some GREAT tires. If you wanted a little more, go and get a locker for the rear end.

Personally, I would get those things before getting a lift. Having wheeled my stock WJ, you'll most likely run out of traction in 2wd before you'll ever run out of clearance.

This is just my opinion on how I would do things.

Re: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee ideas

Alright Ill keep that in mind. Yeah my plans as of right now are to first get tint, then headlights and HIDs and maybe LED lights as well. I'm not going to off road too hard, as I care about my car, don't want anything bad to happen. I have another question, is it definitely best to purchase tint from a shop or putting tint on yourself can still look good. How much of a difference is it? Thanks!

Re: 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee ideas

There is actually a tint thread going with some good info. On that thread is a pic of mine and what I used for tint. I had mine done at a local shop...it was about $120 or so installed. I did the drivers and passenger's side doors to match the rest:
The Tint Thread

Welcome aboard!

This does help a lot! I know this may be a dumb question, but Ill need some time to think it over and get my money straight. Will they still be selling this on eBay later with similar prices? And if I go on the website of the product, is the price also similar? Thanks!
