I have a 4.7 Jeep GC. It runs fine with a MINOR Idle issue when Cold or below Op Temp. Once it gets to 210 it runs HORRIBLE, Almost impossible to drive. Gas & Brake to keep it running. Motor starts having a lower end rattle and horrible smell of oil. But none of these symptoms exist when cool. Once you do shut the car off and try to restart it it will not start, very hard crank (Almost like a dead battery). Then once it gets back to cold temp it starts and drives like nothing ever happened. I am stumped!
Horrible smell of oil from the exhaust? Is it consuming oil? No check engine light on and did you try to retreive any fault codes using the key dance? (ignition switch off-on/off-on/off-on and leave it in on. Odometer will show DONE or fault code(s))
