Angry 2004 Overland needs front Diff rebuild

Hi guys,
My 2004 Overland seems to need a front Diff rebuild.
My whine has become a howl, even the radio does not drown it out anymore.
The noise is totally speed dependent and does not matter with accerlaertion or turning. From what I have read, I think it is the bearings.

Anyone know of a shop what will do a good job without doing too much, within 50 mi of NYC? Any suggestions?

It could...but front driveshafts on these things are known to be problematic too...you might get off a little easier then you think, but then again, you could need a diff rebuild.

yep most of the time its differential bearings, and if the radio isnt covering it up then as you have already deturmined a repair sooner rather than later is important.

Ultimately if you catch it before damage is done to the ring and pinion thats a couple hundred dollars you will save yourself.
