Not sure if it could be done in the vehicle, I doubt it, but why would you even want to try it?

By the time you get the front cover off, chains off, transmission slid back for clearance, you could have it out and sitting on an engine stand where it will be upside down, and no oil dripping on your head.

If you attempt it, please take pictures as it progresses. The more i think of it, yes, you are crazy.... LOL

I have put bearings in with the engine still in a vehicle, and it is a pain just doing that. Checking clearances with the oil dripping, and there seems to be little oil gremlins that will find oil to drip on you even if it has been opened up for a couple of days.

Have fun, Mark
