4.7 HO swap issue
new to JeepGarage, I've been on JF for the longest time, but i thought I'd broaden my horizons. anyways, here is my situation: I've looked over and over and over again between the 3 big Jeep forums, this one included, and I haven't found a clear answer to my question(s). I have an '02 Limited that just recently threw a valve in the standard 4.7 (at 280k nonetheless!) and I have a 4.7 HO engine with matching harness and PCM, already buttoned up in the vehicle, and the tranny was flashed long ago to 545RFE. So I have two things I need clarified if possible, A: How can I make it run like it came from the factory with an HO? Can I program the factory HO file into the PCM with my 'N' VIN with the Chrysler DRBIII tool? I don't want shortcuts, I want the knock sensors plugged in and working, seeing as i have the matching harness and PCM and I want it running like a true HO. and B: it does start up as is, however, it intermittently dies out at idle. Any other possibilities besides cleaning the IAC valve? I was going to run train on cleaning the whole throttle body tomorrow and doing a fuel injection service. Any input is greatly appreciated, I'm hoping to get her running ASAP to determine the possible need for warranty on the engine (it's from a junkyard). Thanks a bunch!
