98 grand cherokee laredo transmission sensor where does it go on at excatley .

Took Jeep to Auto zone had them check it, the code came back the transmission sensor was back replaced it undid the battery hooked it back up drove it and the light came back on.
Mine is a 1998 Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4..my brother put the sensor on and said there are other sensors under there..one I think is out put sensor the other in put sensor.
Now do I have to replace these two sensors also...HELP!!!

Are you having shifting problems with your tranny? Sinnce you have a 4.0L you have a 42RE Tranny. If your having shifting problems most likely it's your Governor Pressure Solenoid Valve.

Yes In first and second slow to shift..ok where the heck is a governor pressure valve..and if this is the case, why was it showing a code for transmission sensor?
