Alignment is never a bad idea on a lifted vehicle. What shocks do you have? Factory sway bar? Does it have sway bar link extensions or something similar to make the sway bar sit how it is supposed to? I would say get an alignment, check out your sway bar and think about upgrading if it is factory same with shocks.

Re: 99 grand 4 in lift swaying problem

It is highly likely that the upper A arm ball joint is bad. Lifting it beyond 3" will cause it to wear quickly. Replace the joint and get a spacer for it if it doesn't have one already. OR get an Iron Rock Offroad A-Arm. The IRO is the best option but not the least expensive.
Do a search on JF and you'll find more info on your problem.

Sorry Spyder no rear track bar on a WJ. You're probably thinking ZJ. As for the op def check the ball joint Also rough country 2.2 shocks have a lot of bad reviews. Also if they installed the lift and torqued everything down in the air
you might have something in a bind. All lift manufacturers require that you don't snug anything until the weight of the vehicle is sitting on the suspension. If you don't find anything obvious I would loosen everything up and re torque all bolts with weight on it.
