This may not be helpfull, but I burried my WJ in snow this passed winter and it was a hard thing for me to do. Once I got it out my abs light was also on for about ab hour. I pulled off the trails, and sprayed off my breaks and CV area with compressed air, and like magic it went away. I think it was the snow and debris in there.

i guess i must have moved something when i changed the front brakes last week...taking tire off to check tonight.

Hi 206WJ. So your ABS light went out without clearing any faults from the memory. The manual doesn't explain this clearly. However the faults will stay in the memory of the ABS controller. (not that it makes a lot of difference, because you will only see them with a scanner)

Yes. I wasworried about it being on, and after a good spray down it was still on until i got the jeep balc up to about 15-20 mph.

mine is the zero speed censer in the front by the cv joints
