Anyone has issue with there taillights?

2001 Wj 4.0
On my driver side, my taillight bub socket(just the center one,not all 3) doesn't won't to make good contact. I guess that whats causing that.

I had problems with that side before. So I replace it with a new taillight.

What about aftermarket taillights. Do they work the same way as the stock ones?

Re: Anyone has issue with there taillights?

Don´t know about aftermarket units, but the jeep taillight sockets sometimes give problems of bad contact. Most of the time you have to bend the small tabs on the sockets a bit out to restore good contact.

Re: Anyone has issue with there taillights?

Instead of buying a new taillight try just buying the socket. It has worked for me

Re: Anyone has issue with there taillights?

I would wait on buying new tailights i had the same issue with mine. What i did was take a flathead screwdriver and pry/bend the contacts forward that way they touch. This repeatidly happend to me before when i would drive over bumps and long drives it would knock itself away from the contacts.
