Question BBK Throttle Body 4.7 WJ install HELP!!!

I need help troubleshooting an installation issue with BBK throttle body over my stock 4.7 WJ throttle body.

IMAG0041.jpg

IMAG0043.jpg

As stated in the pics above, the accelerator cable connection in my stock TB is different than my BBK TB. So my question is-

How should I proceed with the installation of the accelerator cable?

*The rest of the throttle body connectors/connection fits perfectly
*Itís the right TB for this engine. Mfg part # 1723
*Any help/response/tips would be much appreciated

Re: BBK Throttle Body 4.7 WJ install HELP!!!

Hmm, your has a different setup than mine:

The cable on the left which is barely in the frame is the same as your acc cable but doesn't have the black clip/connector - clip on the right is identical though.

I'd suggest trying to remove the black clip and the end of the cable should just go into the grove on your new BBK TB.

Here is my set up on a F&B TB.

Hope that helps?

Re: BBK Throttle Body 4.7 WJ install HELP!!!

I understand the removal of the black clip. But I do not know how to connect the cable to the TB(where I mentioned "no pin" in my BBK pic).
It seems that your F&B accelerator cable connection and groove looks similar to my BBK.But I am eager to know how you connected the accelerator cable to your TB?
*Looking at your setup,I feel glad that someone has worked it out before..

*On a side note,is there a reason(s) for choosing the F&B over BBK?

Thanks for responding

Re: BBK Throttle Body 4.7 WJ install HELP!!!

It's the same idea as putting the brake cable on your mountain bike.

Manually turn the bracket on the TB to WOT, insert the round end of the cable through the hole and then rotate the cable so it goes back on itself into the grove.
Sorry, probably not the best explanation but its pretty straightforward to do.

My TB is anodised not painted, you could probably use any hi-temp paint you wanted but I wouldn't do the inside.

I always wanted the F&B because it was available in the 72mm size and the fact it added 14HP and 10TQ on a bone stock Dakota with a tune - dyno proven on their website.

Add in the fact Flying Ryan was selling this one unused and already done in anodised red for the price of a new non-anodised one then it was a no brainer!

Would I need something like a Bell crank pin between the two holes for the accel cable?

Not sure what a Bell crank pin is to be honest, but here is a video I took for you showing me inserting the accelerator cable into the bracket on my TB....

Sorry about the focus, just ran manual focus on the video on my D3s (lost my compact camera )
