Bizzare Heating/leaking anti-freeze/cooling problem

Current temp outside is 49 degrees. Jeep is a classic 96 XJ. My temp needle is pegged but no fluid leaking out. Radiator not hot. Hoses not hot. Overflow tank is semi-full. Heating to the point of shutting down the engine and "floating" the valves if I continue driving. No warm output from heater vents, cold air. I am thoroughly lost WHAT is going on ? Please respond with any help. Wid ideas even accepted. Thanks guys, you always come thru

I would check the thermostat, sounds like it is stuck closed.

Re: Bizzare Heating/leaking anti-freeze/cooling problem

Would not expect the thermostat in this case, because the heating would be working normally in that case. My suspect would be the waterpump. Could be that the impeller is loose on the drive shaft.
