Broke Something: A Dumb Thing To Do

Hi All,

Thought I would play with the light under the bonnet and change it over to LED and add a second light and did not disconnect the battery before playing with it. So I cut the wiring at the bonnet hinge and lol and behold nothing worked when I wired everything up.
Now I have the following not working:
Bonnet light, Air Conditioning, Flasher for the remote locking and that annoying noise you get when you leave the keys in the car (that's all so far).
I know I should of disconnected the battery before hand but annoyingly didn't.
I am about to go through the fuse box and will start the car 3 x's to see what codes come up and will also disconnect the battery to reset the system.
Any wise words of wisdom would be appreciated?

Okay, have fixed problems with Fuse 7 and 20 being replaced.
Does anyone know what the little round brass thing in the original bonnet light does?
Also, wondering can someone indicate where the cut off switch or relay is for the bonnet light?

There is no physical on/off switch. It is part of the switch that acts automaticaly when the hood is raised.
Clever electricians are to blame.

Re: Broke Something: A Dumb Thing To Do

After playing with the bonnet light I think the little brass thing has a ball bearing in it (or something similar) that rolls forward when the bonnet is flat that closes the circuit and turns it off.
It;s a goner now and I have installed a switch with good LED lighting.
