Unhappy Broken Drivers Seat

Has anyone else had their drivers seat brake off the frame that holds it onto the car?
Love my Jeep, but this was kinda upsetting. I just think it should never break off.

Re: Broken Drivers Seat

This is a real common problem in WJ. I've had mine welded twice. First time it was at a Vocational School and teacher told me there was a design flaw with the rear brackets having too much stress on them. I'm a big guy too so that definitely contributed but I read a few things online that 110# women were flung into the backseat getting on the Highway. Chrysler should have recalled it but doesn't want to call it a safety issue.
Best used price I have seen was $200 for leather, and it was pretty worn.

Good Luck!

Re: Broken Drivers Seat

I finally fixed my seat today..after a year of wobbling around lol. I looked under and all it was was a nut and bolt that had come off.....

Re: Broken Drivers Seat

I finally found a good salvage yard near me and just found an exact replacement for my '00. $75 take it out yourself. Hollands in Billerica, MA. They have about a dozen Wj's with mixed parts.
