Re: Burping fluid like waves on psp reservoir

Did you loose also the power steering?
When you remove the ECT connector again, will the fan go into high speed mode?
Can it be that air was trapped due to the nose high position of the jeep and that it now comes out with the jeep level again?
Did you make around 20 full swing sturns with the steering wheel to get all air out?

Re: Burping fluid like waves on psp reservoir

I hope you didnīt put ATF in the power steering reservoir. The power steering needs special Mopar power steering fluid or synthetic power steering fluid, but NO ATF.

Re: Burping fluid like waves on psp reservoir

Iīm not sure what the ATF will do to seals and/or the operation of the system, i only know that your not suppost to use it. It can reduce the live of the pump and maybe also the hydraulic cooling fan.
Why do you want to drive with the cooling fan on high?

Re: Burping fluid like waves on psp reservoir

If their is a clog line inside the fan will be open with the new fresh fluid with fast turning,Frank if I had a clog inside the fan can it lead to make the fluid burp inside the reservoir

Re: Burping fluid like waves on psp reservoir

Not familiar with the internals of the hydraulic cooling fan motor, but when it burps, it seems that there is air coming with the fluid.

Re: Burping fluid like waves on psp reservoir

If it continues to burp, i wonder if the new pump is not the problem.
