Got it, going to a junk yard tomorrow. How much should I look to pay? They go for ~$75 on the internet.

Before buying anything, just have a look at the wiper system, to be sure its the motor itself. Rockauto sells remanufactured motor for $ 57 after returning the old one.

Trying to diagnose the problem, so I've been trying to get the wipers off. Unfortunately the wiper teeth are corroded onto the linkage teeth. I was able to get the port one off, but even after being soaked in WD40 for a while, the starboard one won't come off...

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

Did you use the special wiper arm removal puller or alike? Canīt you look under the plastic lining with the wipers in on to see if you can find the problem?

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

Maybe you can loan a battery terminal/wiper arm puller from autozone or any other shop in your nabourhood. Some universal pullers will do as well.

Just bought one, will be here tuesday(thank you amazon prime).

How should I diagnose whether it is the linkage or motor that has worn out teeth?

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

When the pastic panel is out of the way, you can see the linkage. When you observe the linkage with the wipers in on(the wipers should be in place, to have enough resistance for the problem to show itself), you will probably see if the problem comes from the linkage (which i doubt), or from the wiper motor assy.

Wiper puller is delivering tomorrow, that thing will be magic if it can pull my wiper arm off. I literally put my whole weight into it, and it wouldn't come off.
