Now if you are very leightweighted, that could explain the reason that the wiperarm didnīt come off.

Funny funny.

Got the wiper puller today, frozen on arm came off within a minute. I will diagnose the problem tomorrow when it's light outside.

I have another question though. Was driving today, and I noticed something...notable. If I drive to anywhere from 23-29 ish mph, let the car go into a coast, and get the RPMs down to ~1000, then tap on the accelerator, there is a nice clunk. On a scale of 1-10, how screwed am I?

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

Check the propeller shaft U-joints and/or CV joints for play.

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

The propeller shafts are the shafts going from the T-case to the rear differential and from the T-case to the front differential. The T-case (transfer case) is the smaller gearbox, bolted on the aft side of the transmission. The T-case takes care of the transfer of the torque to the rear wheels and the front wheels.
Both propeller shafts can not be completely rigid, because when the suspension moves, the angle of the shaft going out of the T-case and into the differential is changing. This changing angle is being taken care of by the U-joints (universal joints) or CV joints (constant velocity joint). U-joints are found in the rear propeller shaft, 1 close to the T-case and the other close to the aft differential.
For the front propeller shaft you can find or U-joints or CV joints. Both joints have the same function, the U-joint is in the form of an X with needle bearings, but the CV joint uses large metal balls inside the coupling.
Any play in these parts could give a clunk when suddenly accelerating.
But also play inside the differentials could cause a clunk.

Yep, I know what the T-case is. How can I access the propeller shafts?

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

Just lay on the ground and crawl under the jeep. You can see the shafts easily. Best to put chocks on some of the wheels, so that the jeep will not move, and put the T-case in N. Now try to rotate the propeller shaft with one hand on one side of the joint and the other hand at the other side and feel for play. Also check if there is any vertical play on the joints. For CV joints check also if the rubber boots are not cracked (you will normally see a lot of grease around the crack) or completely torn. CV joints donīt like to be operated with torn boots, because the grease goes out and dirt goes in, causing premature wear and play/noise.

Alright.

It may sound ridiculous but I can turn my jeep off with the t case in neutral, right?

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

Not knowing something is not a shame, you can better learn by asking then by breaking something.
You can put the T-case in N, but maybe its even simpler to just put the transmission in N. Donīt forget to put chocks (wooden blocks or stones or alike) at the wheels, to prevent it from rolling. Also take care of hot exhaust parts when the jeep has been driven. The catalitic converters in the exhaust become very hot in a short time, so be aware. Also keep the engine off when laying under the jeep, because exhaust gasses can be deadly in closed areas.

Re: Can't get my wj outta 4lo?

since you mentioned youre 16 id hate to see youre young life be ended by getting run over by youre vehicle, dont forget to use wheel chocks in both directions when veh. is in neutral and you under it. also level ground is a plus
