Check Gauges Light

My Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo won't start, the check gauges light is on, and all the gauges are down. What is wrong?

Re: Check Gauges Light

Check gauges light should be on when any of the 4 indicators is out of normal operating range. The instrument panel gets its input for batt voltage, fuel level, oil pressure and coolant temp from the PCM. Could be a fuse blown from the PCM, so check that first. When all ok, check for any fault code set using the key dance ( ignition switch off/on 3 times and leave it in on at the third time. The odometer will show " DONE" when all ok, or fault code(s).
