Couple Questions

I have a couple questions in reference to my '99 WJ Limited.

1. I bought a new key and fob. I had the dealership program them both. I don't know if it is a coincidence that it happens now, when I try to select memory 1 or 2 with the key in the "on" position without the WJ running, the over head console says "Memory Disabled" and it beeps. When I try to hit the 1 or 2 without any key in the ignition, nothing happens. I am trying to program each memory setting to the key. Any ideas?

2. Is there any way to adjust the moon roof on how far it goes when it closes? Mine doesn't close all the way in the back.

Re: Couple Questions

You may have to reset everything on the door switch again by setting your seat, mirrors, radio stations, etc then hitting the set button then 1 or 2 on the door panel.Just make sure the seat belt isn't buckled or the vehicle isn't in gear or you'll get the same message. Not sure about the sunroof but I don't think there is any adjustment just some kind of electronic module.

Re: Couple Questions

I do think the seat belt was buckled. I will have to try it in the AM.

Re: Couple Questions

If the sunroof just doesn´t come up completely at the aft side, you should be able to adjust it. Just loosen the 2 aft mounting screws, push the sunroof up until in the right position and then fasten the 2 screws again.

I finally found that online a bit ago.

I tried it and it will hold the sunroof there, but when I open it and close it again it will be down a small bit. It isn't as much as it was before the adjustment.

Re: Couple Questions

Maybe that you have to loosen all 4 screws a bit and fasten them again while you hold the sunroof in the right position.
