CYL#4 misfire

Well i'm bored at work and i'm still wondering about the misfire code im getting for cyl#4 I checked the spark plugs everything looks fine no burn or any wierd stuff i'm just wondering about gapping should it be .30 or .35? not really sure. btw 2000 WJ 4.0 I6

gap for I6 is 0.035. Same as I got in mine.

Did you gap it yourself? and when you gapped it was the front or the rear of the sparkplug at .0035?

Re: CYL#4 misfire

Besides other things, the misfire can be caused by a dirty/clogged or not well functioning fuel injector. You could swap it with an other cylinder to see if the fault follows.

they came pregapped I just doublechecked and made sure they were right

I had a similar situation with a cylinder misfire code on my 4.7. I did some research and found out it could just be clogged/carbon build up within the injector. I ran a can of seafoam through the brake booster per the instructions and the code vanished. that was about 10k miles ago and it hasn't reappeared. Might be worth trying since a can of seafoam is only a few bucks.
