Re: DEATH SHAKE!!!!!!! help please

Death Wobble? My 01 WJ had the same, 30- 50mph hit a pothole and off it went, Braking seemed to make it worse, I changed the Steering Damper, that helped but still had a slight Wobble, so Changed the Bushes in the Axle Tie Bar, the one that goes from the axle to the Body frame, Thing is make sure the Bolt hole in the Body frame isn't elongated, If it is the bolt will have movement, Cure that by having a washer of thick grade steel with the exact size hole for the bolt spot welded to body frame, My WJ doesn't wobble any more and makes the steering seem more positive.

Re: DEATH SHAKE!!!!!!! help please

This happend to me in my ZJ... it was triggered when i was pressing the breaks and would hit a bump or something in the road like a pot hole... then the breaks would rumble a bit, felt like my ABS was engaging. My mechanic told me it was caused by a faulty G Sensor... i think it was called something like that, it was a while ago. Basically your car is engaging the ABS when its not supposed to, your brakes, rotors and all the lines could be just fine.

Re: DEATH SHAKE!!!!!!! help please

You have a bad steering stabilizer that is amplifying your other problems. New style calipers are a must or you'll eat rotors every year. Also if can actually see movment in those control arm bushings that's definately contributing to the fear factor.
