Drive Train Issue

New to the site. My wife has a 2004 4.0 6 cylinder Grand Cherokee. While crawling underneath the vehicle I came across an issue with the drive train. It appears to have a seal that has retracted or shrunk right where the drive train meets the u-join. Can anyone tell me what this issue is? Do I need a new seal? I took a picture but can't figure out how to load it. I am an infiniti guy and my wife is just now letting me work on her Jeep.

Re: Drive Train Issue

Welcome to the garage.
Without a picture it is difficult to understand which seal you are talking about. Front propeller shaft or rear propeller shaft? Are you talking about the rubber boot which is attached to the T-case and where the rear propeller shaft goes in?
Just use the paperclip button above this text frame to insert pictures or other attachments.
