Re: Electrical Help

Thanks for all your help. I hopefully will be able to check this tonight and get back to you. The two connectors your are talking about are plugged into the JB correct? I know that the lift gate lock does operate.

Yes, both connectors are on the JB. I saw now as well that not the liftgate lock is affected, but the flipup glass lock. The schematic was showing the wire going to the liftgate motor, but that is only for an internal switch in the lock motor which alows the flipup glass to be opened or not.
Here also follows the Junction Block with connector numbers.

Re: Electrical Help

It has been busy this week I have not had a chance to check the pins. The glass latch does not work either. I will check for power as soon as I can. More to follow.

Re: Electrical Help

OK. I checked the power at fuse 8 and used a better ground and there is power at fuse 8. checked for power at C4 and it is good also. Now, JB C1 point 36 does not have a wire in the spot it is open. Any other suggestions??

Re: Electrical Help

What year is your jeep? I have 3 manuals and there is at least some difference between the 01-04 and the 04 manual. The first manual shows point 47 on C1 is connected to the rear wiper motor, liftglass lock etc.

Re: Electrical Help

Are you sure you have the right connector? Since you have a 2004, the wire should be connected to point 36. Can it be that the wire broke loose?

Re: Electrical Help

Major typo. It is a 2000. Sorry About That. I sold the 04 wrangler awhile ago and had been talking to a friend about it when I was replying.

Re: Electrical Help

Ok, then it should be point 47 on the connector C1. If you have power there, then you will have to look further down for a loose splice for example. One which involves the wiper, flip-up glass and EVIC is S304. Attached drawing shows the location of it.
