Re: Electrical Help

But did you confirm the 12V on the C1 connector point 47 first?

Re: Electrical Help

I checked C1 pin 47 and there is zero voltage at that point. So do I need to check the splices next? It is raining at the moment so if that is next hopefully tomorrow. I double checked the power three times at 47.

Re: Electrical Help

If you don't have 12V on point 47 from receptacle C1, then there is an internal problem in the JB. You have checked the input into the JB ok, so from there it goes to fuse 8 and then exits the JB at point 47. You did measure on the JB itself and not on the plug, right? Maybe i stated that a bit confusing and should have said connector and receptacle, but the power comes out of the JB receptacle and goes via the connector C1 point 47 to the wiper motor, EVIC, flip glas etc. You could use an ohm meter on point 47 from the connector to see if there is an open circuit (infinite resistance), which could be a wire breakage or bad splice.

Re: Electrical Help

I will take a picture of what I checked to make sure that we are tracking the same thing. I am just waiting on the rain to stop.

Re: Electrical Help

Ok I have attached the PICS of what I am looking at. I pulled the connector and there is not a pin on the back side that goes in (I took a picture. Let me know what you think.

Re: Electrical Help

That is very strange. When you look at the connector pinout you also see the wire at point 47.
The wire should be pink and on the first picture i see a pink wire. In which slot does that pink wire go?
Also on the connector side, is there a wire in slot 47? It could eventually be that the pin on the JB side is pushed back, i canīt see it that good from the picture, but it seems that there is something in the slot, eventhough it doesnīt protrude.

Re: Electrical Help

I pulled it back apart and the the pink wire is in point 47. There is nothing on the other side to engage it (Male end). It is not pushed back or anything.

Re: Electrical Help

You will probably have to open up the JB to see what is wrong, maybe the pin is broken off or laying in there. No idea if you can insert a new pin or maybe even make one yourself. I don't think that there is any spare pin or one which is not in use. But maybe by opening the JB up it will explain more what is going on.

Re: Electrical Help

If you would go the route in buying an other JB, then you have to make sure you het one from the same year and preferably same options. Depending on the options there can be more or less fuses or maybe lower rated fuses (and more important lower rated circuitry inside the JB) . There is for sure a difference between the JB for 04 and previous years.
I think best would be to open up the JB first and see if the pin is broken or just pushed in. Maybe with some solder and ingeniuity you can fabricate a pin yourself.
Oh, when you open up the JB, post some pics from the internals. Never seen it myself.

Talking Re: Electrical Help

I fixed the issue. I rewired into slots that had power but were not being used. Thanks for all the help. Something for future reference is the blue/white wire runs the computer and the pink runs the dome lights and rear wiper and glass. Thank you for your help.
