Re: electrical issue 2004 wj

Can not find a TAN/BLK wire going to the passenger door module in the wiring diagram. 12V feed goes via OR/WT wire and comes in at pin 1 from connector C1 on the passenger door module. Is the passengers side mirror still working?

Re: electrical issue 2004 wj

frank, pwr mirror not working, wire coming in to door harness connector from body side is or/wt, door side of connector the wire changes color to tn/blk, I repaired ground wire in driver side boot a couple of years ago, I was thinking it was same problem, pass side ground wire had crack in wire insulation so I spliced in new wire, but that did not solve problem, when they quit working it was a couple of days before I could look at wiring, wife was driving and doors locked and window worked, when she got home not working,i am thinking it has to be a wire, hoping its not door module, thanks doug

Re: electrical issue 2004 wj

If the passengers rear door and drivers rear door windows and power locks also donīt work, i would suspect the passengers door module to be faulty. The only way to test the module i know of, is with a DRBIII scanner. But since power and ground to the module are fine, it almost should be the module.
Did you already disconnect the battery for some minutes and try again? Sometimes a door module locks up and the only way to get it working again is a power disconnect.

Re: electrical issue 2004 wj

The driver for the rear passenger window is inside the passenger door module, while the drivers rear window driver is inside the drivers door module. The power locks are different; only the drivers door lock is on the drivers door module, while all others and are from the passengers door module. Also the RKE receiver is inside the passengers door module. I would try to find a passenger door module from the junk yard. Finding a DRBIII scanner most probably only at the stealer and that will probably more expensive then the part from a junk yard. Only the remotes must be programmed in the new door module.
