Question engine fan

Hello all, I need advice on the fan relay as it only works in low and have been unable to tow, is it possiable to change the fan to electic thermo or will it create more problems any advice would be welcome.

Your jeep has the hydraulic driven fan setup, isnīt it?
Does it throw any codes? When you remove the temperature sensor connector ( in between the AC compressor and alternator), the fan should go to high speed. If not, the problem can be or the control solenoid, the hydraulic motor, the hydraulic supply or even the coolant temp sensor or PCM.

Cheers guys for that i will try those options, to clarify the fan does the same speed while at idle with a/c on or off, if itry sand driving the temp gauge goes through the roof. regards pete.

Hi, yes the fan has done the same speed since the day i bought it, i have only just realised that its two stage as soon as i tow or do any sand driving the engine temp goes straight up, with a/c on as well, regards pete
