Exhaust ... :(

Calling Frango and any other experts..... finally got under the Jeep and changed o2 sensors. After doing the "Frango Key Dance" , all codes are gone. Here's the issue.

Still blowing black smoke and running rich. My buddy was under the jeep and was screwing around with a screwdriver and tapped the muffler. He tapped it again and told me. It sounded like it is full. I'm assuming, based on my output of carbon, that it is full of carbon. I'll be swapping it out on Saturday, and I'm sure the I6 will appreciate the reduction of backpressure.

Any ideas? No codes, bad mileage, deisel-like black exhaust output.

Re: Exhaust ... :(

Just forgot the story behind it. Did you check the O2 voltage and the STFT and LTFT figures with a scanner which shows live data? When you don't have a scanner but do have an android phone, then download the app Torque and buy a bluetooth dongle. You can check for faults, reset them and check live data.

It would help if you told us what you're driving.
