Hi Jeepers.

What will happen if 'Before catalyst' O2 sensor will be installed on a place of 'After catalyst'? How will it affect fuel consumption and engine in general?

Also, what is difference between Federal and California emission packages? Apparently mine has California, 4L i6 with 4 o2 sensors.

Thanks!

the diffrence is there is 2 on the federal edition and there is 4 o2's on the cali editions.
you need to replace your o2's with the correct ones you cant mix them up to my knowledge you have two down streams that are after the pre cats and you have two before your cats and them are the ones control you air/fuel ratio for your motor. dont mix and match them i would get new ones. i dont beleave your truck would run any good if you mix them up. your fuel map will run supper rich and you will drink gas. ask me how i know. lol i didnt have one pluged in and man it was chugging my petro....

California emission laws are much stricter than the federal emission laws. For example, I live in Alabama (federal emission laws) and I have only 2 oxygen sensors and one catalytic converter. Your Jeep with California emissions has 4 oxygen sensors, a mini catalytic converter, and a main catalytic converter.
