front differential help

Hello
I have 99 limited and my vent hose is off the front diff. It is still connected up above, it has came of at the differential. I have been searching for awhile but I can not figure out what it takes to connect the hose back to diff. Does anyone have a diagram and or part number?
Thank You

Re: front differential help

should be straight forward... if you don't see the nipple sticking out of the diff maybe it broke off.. some posts say its just a plastic piece pressed in too.. nothing sticking out your hose?

Re: front differential help

I am missing the plastic vent part. I figured there was something that the hose needed to be connected to. Looks like number 12 on that picture is what i need.
Thanks for the help.

Re: front differential help

Well is this what I keep coming up with but, I am not to sure if this is it. This looks more like it should go above and not into the differential?

Re: front differential help

No, that is the wiggle cap at the end of the vent hose. It lets overpressure go out and prevents water/dirt to come in.
The breather nipple originally seems to be a press fit plastic one, which should be on the top of the diff housing. Some people fit a brass nipple with thread, but the diff should be on the bench for that: http://www.moabjeeper.com/articles/t...?articleID=228

Re: front differential help

Most probably an axle shop can help you out with the right nipple.
