Re: Front differential not working

If one axle is not (well) inserted into the differential case, then none of the front wheels will turn. If you now turn the left wheel, is there anything rotating inside the differential? If you do the same with the right wheel, is there any difference? Did you check the splines in the differential, where the axles should fit in? No damage to them?

One of your axels not fully seated. Check carefully.

Re: Front differential not working

If nothing turns inside the diff while turning the drivers side wheel, then the axle is not inserted into the side gear properly. No fluid needed to do this check. The fluid is only needed to activate the clutch inside the vari-lok while driving and one wheel looses traction and start turning faster then the other (on the same axle) and ofcourse for lubrication.
