Front windshield wiper issue

A few years back, my wife let her friend borrow the jeep in a snow storm to get to work. Anyway, when she got out, instead of cleaning the windshield, she decided to let the wipers clear it. It overloaded the wipers, and now they are screwed up. In any intermittent position they will go to a random spot on the windshield, then move again... In slow or fast, they work normal, but they don't go to the park position when they're shut down.
I bought a new motor, and have yet to install it because I want to research it a bit more first. Any input would be welcomed.

Thanks

Re: Front windshield wiper issue

Installed a new motor and all is well. The toughest part was getting the wiper arms off!
