General Grabber AT2 vs Nitto Teragrappler

Ive narrowed it down to 2 choices for my new tires.
Both seem to be a well liked tire.

Nitto Terragrappler

General Grabber AT2

After a lot of research I'm gonna go with a 245/70/17 for my new wheels

What do you guys think?

Re: General Grabber AT2 vs Nitto Teragrappler

My friend had the Nittos on his Dakota and hated them. They wore quickly and were really noisy as they wore.
I have the Grabbers and love them. Wearing great, really good on road manners and as good off road as any AT you'll find. Get 'em!

Re: General Grabber AT2 vs Nitto Teragrappler

I think the Grabber is a lot like the BFG A/T. If it is, I'd say get that. I had the Nitto's on my Wrangler and I loved them, but that was a whole different animal...35" tires and you're always messin' with pressure.

The best I've EVER had for durability and streetabilty were the BFG A/T, and the tread pattern on those Grabbers looks close.

Re: General Grabber AT2 vs Nitto Teragrappler

Newbie here!

Just wanted to add kudos for the AT2s. I've had them now for a few years, after having stock. I love them! They are incredible in snow- and I get tons of that in Michigan. I'm even more impressed with how they are in rain. They're a good 60k tire. I'll be getting new ones (and wheels too!) this year. Can't wait!

I am also a BFG AT fan. I had 2 sets over the years. They just have gotten way too pricey anymore. The days of $99 at Sears on sale are long gone.I'm like you in thinking the Generals look real similar so I'm leaning that way. The prices are pretty good too.

That's a good point. I've had mud tires that were actually dangerous in rain or snow.

Re: General Grabber AT2 vs Nitto Teragrappler

Well there seems to be a national back order on 245/70/17 Generals and after seeing the Nittos in person I bought these. Hope they're almost as good. Good reviews from what I've seen.

They look good. I have no experience with them but that doesn't mean anything . Good luck and let us know how you like them.
