@TJXJWJ: No doubt, hands down the best lol. Hey TJ, What kind of LED style did you use in your map lights for the interior?

@JP 843: Don't feel bad about just starting to mod your Jeep lol, I couldn't even fill a part of one of those lines in people's signatures lol

Now like TJXJWJ mentioned, I totally overlooked the option of tail-lights.

Here are three options and of course they come in other colors besides the one listed:

Now I'm not sure if people have even considered generations for the LED tail-lights, So here are some.

1) This first one, uses regular bulbs (They can be switched out for LED) for the reverse and turn-signal applications. It only offer's LED's in the brake/tail-light position.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JEEP-...Q5fAccessories

2) This one I think is a bit newer than the first one. It offer's LED's in the brake/tail-light and turn-signal spots. It uses a regular reverse bulb. (I think the LED's look better on this than the first one)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/99-03...Q5fAccessories

3) This one is the absolute newest one. It comes in the stock color either a clear red or smoked red. It features LED's for the brake/tail-light wrapped around the reverse and turn-signal bulbs which of course can be swapped out for LED versions. (In my opinion, this is one of the best if not THE best looking)

One of the user's on here, GrantB, has a great video showing these off in good detail. The last video is also from him demonstrating how 8000k HID's (I believe) perform in the Gen III projectors.

Don't forget tailight options, wheels, better shocks, etc. Personally, if I were you, I'd start with things like a set of Bilstien shocks. Your jeep has 75k. Chances are the shocks are worn or will be kicking it soon. Spend wisely.
Thats good advice. Do you have better shocks? How will my car feel/ perform better with the shocks? Also, Ive gotten new tires from about a year- year and a half ago. How long should they last with the best performance? Lastly, what are your thoughts on wheels and wheel prices? What do you have, and will wheels help you out with performance (I know wheels will) at all or just for style? Thanks man!

Nope, lol the only thing I have is a DDM 55w 4500k kit in my stock reflectors (Though its aimed pretty well and I never get flashed) and LED's in my license plate lights and I'm working on the interior with LED's. Other than previously mentioned I haven't done s*** lol

For the map lights I used the radially mounted 192 bulbs...work really nice in there.

I've got Bilstien HD's all the way around, along with Addco front and rear swaybars. It went from cornering like grandpa's Impala, to cornering like sports car. Well...it's no Porsche, but you catch my drift. Significant improvment in cornering, comfort and overall ride quality.

Wheels are really more for looks on our trucks. Not to say that's not important. I've got polished SRT replicas (20") with Hankook tires. I kept my OEM wheels and tires for the winter. $1400 got me all 4 wheels and tires, mounted and balanced, shipped to my door from oewheels.

As far as tires lasting you, it all depends on what brand, your driving habits, and if you're properly inflated, balanced and mounted with regular rotations. I just rotated mine last week after about 1500 miles. A bit ridiculous, but I had them all off anyways, and I honestly don't drive THAT much. Once every few months isnt' that hard to do considering the money you save on tires.

@TJXJWJ:

1) As you mentioned you used the radial-firing LED's, I think that would look cool but I was worried about some of the wasted light. The map lights sit at a 90 degree angle right?

2) My father was looking into replacing the shocks on our Jeep, are the Bilstein HD's better than just a regular replacement? Any brands or kinds you suggest?

Re: Getting Started..?

@ RG

1. Yeah, I'm pretty sure there is a reflector in there, but when I did mine I was not looking for output as much as color. I wanted all the interior white LED's to be the same and a nice, crisp white. I don't know about you, but I don't use my "map" lights. In reality, they are more like "oh shit I dropped something and need to find it in the dark" lights. Here are some closer pics:

If you're looking for brightness, then I'd go with a blade style with smd's. These are more than enough for me, and remember...the OEM bulbs put light out at 360 degrees too...so the fixture is designed for that.

2. Yes...I've run a lot of different shocks in my day. Monroe, DoetschTech, Rancho 9000 XL adjustables, Old Man Emu, and now, Bilstiens. Out of all of those, the Bilstien HD's are the best for that sport ride without being uncomfortable. They handle incredibly well. That's kinda their purpose...to give you a sportier feel. Stock replacements will give you a bouncier "fluffier" ride. I've also heard good things about Edelbrock's shocks, but have no personal experience with them.

Re: Getting Started..?

@TJXJWJ:

1) Those look good! That is true about the OEM bulbs being 360 degree, I just figured since the light is fired downwards a flank style might be best. I'll have to do some thinking about which ones I want. As you mentioned about not going for output as much as color, I agree with you on that, I'm mainly replacing with 5K Led's. I'm not too big of a fan of the 6K bulbs, I think the 5K looks a bit more professional lol.

2) Since you do your entire interior, Did you need a resistor and where did you put it?

3) As of now, I'm only put LED's in the courtesy, under dash lights and license plate lights and they all light up extremely well. I plan on replacing the dome/reading lights, rear passenger pull handles, the courtesy lights, front doors (Which came on my year model) and maybe the cargo light, But I've heard from some user's they leave that the cargo light intact so they don't need a resistor.

4) That sounds great about the Bilstein's, I saw that a lot of other users on here really enjoyed them, I might just have to with them.

Re: Getting Started..?

Yeah, of all the "K's", 5000 seems to be my favorite.
I put my resistor in the rear, above the cargo fixture. I can't remember if that was all I needed to do. Something tells me I needed one up front too, but I'm not sure. It's really nothing fancy or difficult. Adding resistors is a breeze, and at WORST you only need two in order to convert the entire interior. A lot of people do leave the cargo bulb incandescent so they don't have to add resistors, and that's fine, but I couldn't do it. Like I've said...I like things to match too much to leave one un-done like that.
