I put my resistor in the rear, above the cargo fixture. I can't remember if that was all I needed to do. Something tells me I needed one up front too, but I'm not sure. It's really nothing fancy or difficult. Adding resistors is a breeze, and at WORST you only need two in order to convert the entire interior. A lot of people do leave the cargo bulb incandescent so they don't have to add resistors, and that's fine, but I couldn't do it. Like I've said...I like things to match too much to leave one un-done like that.
1) As you mentioned, I would convert all the inside spots to LED's, That lone incandescent would probably get on my nerves too lol.

2) What LED company do you go with? Super Bright LED's, Superlumination, or V-LED's?

3) Did you replace your front two #194's and #3157 in the headlight with LED's? Do you need a separate resistor for each side?

Re: Getting Started..?

Superbrightleds. They are the only folks I've ever used. VLED looks to be quality stuff, but I didn't learn about them until after I did my conversion. My last 3 vehicles were all Superbrightleds and I've had nothing but good luck with their products.

...and yes, the parking and signal lamps are all LED also...front and rear. 194's don't require a resistor, but the 3157's each did. Every turn signal terminal (2 front, 2 rear) each got resistors.

1) I didn't know that about the 194's, I had two on each side with LED's and I figured they ran alright due to the turn signal still being a normal bulb lol. Thanks for that tip

2) Where did you mount the resistors for the front turns? I have wires going everywhere with my relay so I'm not sure where to mount them when I do get them.

3) Do you run a white LED bulb for the 3157, a flashback, or an all amber bulb?

Re: Getting Started..?

I was able to 3M double-faced tape the resistors to a flat surface behind the headlight. No biggie...they do get toasty, so just be aware that anything you put them up against should be able to handle heat. By toasty I mean as hot as an incandescent bulb. If you make the leads long enough, you can mount them anywhere. I'd suggest a metal surface just for heat absorption.

For signals, I'm using white LED's. I hate amber. My ex's name was Amber. Hahhahaha. I've never had any issues with "the law". I think they are just happy to see someone using their turnsignal and not talking on the damn phone for once.

1) I like the idea of all white in the front, especially the white signals so I don't blame you in that regard lol.

2) About the police thing lol tell me about it, I hate people who think either they're too important to need to use the turn-signal or the people who just don't give a s***.

3) When I use to have the 194's LED in the front I made the mistake of buying one's that had directional light instead of 360 degrees to fill the housing better, Do all of yours fill it pretty well?

Re: Getting Started..?

yep...the 194's I have are of the radially mounted variety, with 5 little LED bulbs on the 194. You get nice bright blink from it.

Sounds good, is that the one in the #194? or #3157?

Re: Getting Started..?

194...

The 3157's I have are like 20 LEDs in a circle all pointing straight out. Between those and the CCFL rings, I hardly need the headlights on!

Re: Getting Started..?

lol man I really want to get the CCFL version lol, they sound awesome. Can you really tell a big difference between the LED version Halo's? I'm assuming you can lol

I think with the 194's in the front, I'm gonna go with these probably

http://www.v-leds.com/Interior-LED/G...04828-1-2.html

and for the 3157 either this first one or its newer replacement

Re: Getting Started..?

Put it this way...the CCFL's you could use as daytime running lights if you wanted to. You can clearly see them lit on a sunny day. The LED ones look awesome too, but only at night.

Holy prices on those VLEDS!

That sounds awesome and yeah they're pretty expense lol, 2 of the #3157's are more than an HID kit from DDM lol
