Grand cherokee 2003-ac light

Hi Guys,
I have had 5 jeeps. My current 2003 Grand Cherokee has been a good car- out side of the usual window regulator and radiator fan switches. Currently my AC light (therefore my AC compressor) goes off when the vent control knob is in certain positions. Now my AC only works when the control is on front windshield and front windshield/floor. This is aggravating since it is over 100 here in Texas. Should I replace the control switch or what.

Re: Grand cherokee 2003-ac light

In any of the windshield positions the airconditioning will be on, independent of the airco switch. So if the airco will not come on in all other positions with the switch, it can be that the switch is the problem, or the circuit. I would start checking the connectors on the control panel to see if they are securely fastened.

Thanks Frank- sounds reasonable to check the connectors 1st then the switch.
I will do this and report back.
